Hiii! I know I don’t post on here very often (or ever unless I’m having a chat with someone lol), but I just wanted to spread awareness of what is going on with small creators intagram accounts, mine included. This morning, I woke up to a notification from Instagram saying they had suspended my account due to a “copyright infringement” and a range of other topics related to plagiarism and pirating. It flagged a specific post which was my most recent no-sew chubby rat pattern (on my ribblr shop) and a green dragon with the caption “green velvet dragon,” claiming that I had used a brand name without their permission, and it had been found due to an AI scan. I know there’s not really anything I can do about it, but I just wanted to share with everyone what happened to me, mainly to vent but also to warn other creators of what could happen. I had almost 1k followers and had been working on the improvement of that account for over 2 years, only to find it today permanently disabled. Sorry for giving everyone a yap sesh, but I just wanted to explain the current situation that is happening to many small creators, not just me. Yeah an AI company took my pattern and claimed it as theirs then put a copy right infringement back onto me saying I took it from them :(

I knew those AI scans were hitting copyright characters (a bunch of Pokemon shops got hit, for example) but hadn’t heard it was getting unique stuff
Were you given a method to appeal?
Wait what??? That’s so awful! If they weren’t copyrighted characters then surely there’s a way to get your account back right?
I am so sorry. That is immensely unfair and another reason to despise ai.
No just told straight up that I was perma banned and that my account would be permanently deleted in 4 days then it offered to download my files for me and all it allowed me to download was my username and logo
