Photography contest???

Hi all!
The contest is open:

So I’ve seen that this space was created and thought of a some sort of photography contest, probably more nature oriented, sub categories… I’m not really sure what I could give out as a prize so if I establish this it would probably just be a free time competition, no real race or any special prize…
Community votes the winners, 1 is chosen from each category but I’m thinking of setting the limit of one picture per category, more on details (yes I can go deeper :smiling_face_with_horns:) if this gets enough hype…

I’d do it weekly, in the following subcategories:

  1. Astrophotography (either by phone or telescope…)
  2. People and animals
  3. Plants (you can’t blame me for making it sepparate :upside_down_face::seedling:)
  4. Landscapes, still life

So what do you all think? I don’t really know whether this would have any prizes, other than the personal achievement of being recognized by the ribblr community as the photographer of the week!

Gathering hype and suggestions, ideas on how this could work! I’d like at least 20 votes for me to do this…

That sounds like fun. You could also have a craft/make category. I know it is still life but it is very different than a landscape.

Ok let’s say I’m doing this, posting on Sunday, morning or afternoon… I’ll still keep gathering votes…
(Also @GrannySquareGirl, can you edit posts? You’re the moderator, so technically…? I’d say we always have challenges for only 2 w back, and need to know whether you can clean up… I’m afraid ribblr Amy not let me, at least not until dec 5th, my 100 days to a regular…)

Regarding the fact I’m almost constantly online, I’ll post the challenge the day we hit 20 votes…, so it will be a bit of a longer week and I also really can’t wait :sweat_smile:
