Any photography tips or editing app suggestions?
I’m not exactly new to product photography or editing, but my Amigurumi photography skills are seriously lacking. I can’t get them to look decent even trying AI backgrounds etc. It’s keeping me from selling physical products and patterns because I can’t meet my own standards for listing photos.

Try looking into upgrading your lighting! Getting a cheap ringlight that attaches to your phone helps quite a bit, on top of being in a bright space. Consider your background as well, a blank white / light colored wall or even poster board works as a nice blank backdrop, or you can take photos outside and edit the photos themselves with apps like Pixlr. You can throw on mild filters which do help improve the presentation, as well as adding fun frills to grab the attention of possible customers. Good luck, photography is super frustrating for marketing 
It’s so frustrating! I’ve run a successful business selling handmade goods for 11 years now. My listing photos are top notch. I try to photograph crocheted items and it’s awful. Angles are weird, shadows are funky, and it’s all very homemade looking vs handmade if that makes sense at all.
Oh maybe a ring light would help! I usually do outdoor or in a light box, but I still hate the outcome with Amigurumi. I even tried in a window on my cats window perch and I hated it. I could be being too picky too. 
I usually try to consider the backlighting too, because in my opinion that is an absolute killer and adds so many of those shadows which kill the vibe. If there are a lot of lighting sources your photos get wonky.

I’ve found that a lot of people use the outdoors for good backgrounds! If you have a good outdoors area, I recommend taking the pictures outside!!
I like to use Snapseed for editing my photos. It’s a free app made by Google and it has some really great features.
I’ve also been collecting funky items from junk stores to use as background filler for my photos.
