Hey! I recently made this dragon

And I have no idea where to price it at…
I was thinking like 40-50 (because I spent like 6 hours on it and had to do a bunch of sewing and the yarn was like ten bucks) so I told my mom that and she told me that it will never sell for more than 30 dollars. I think that’s crazy, and talked to my sister and she told me she would pay like 20 for it (neither of them crochet btw)
So I’m kinda torn and need help​:smiley::smiley:

I think you could sell it for like 40 or 45 dollars depending on yarn, but with that price I would sell it for $45

$20 is WAY too cheap. i recommend you have a price for each hour you work. Like $8 an hour or smth, and make sure to include material costs!!

I would look at the total money you spent on supplies then maybe charge a certain amount of money for each hour spent working on it. (for example: if you charge $5 per hour, it would be $30 plus whatever you spent on supplies) Hope this helps, darling. :D

i think you should prove it however you think. people who don’t crochet don’t understand the time and effort it takes to make something. if you think it’s worth 40$-50$(i agree btw) then that’s how much it’s worth!

I feel youuuuuuu!!one time I made a big size turtle for $30 and my mom said no girl that is WAYYYY to expensive sell it for $8 :grimacing:and I was like nuh uh :roll_eyes: that is to cheap!:relieved_face:it’s like 20 inches bro and I think you should sell it for $45 dollars btw and it’s super cute too :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

as a crocheter, i would say its worth about 40-50 dollars but as someone who sells a lot of stuff, a lot of people dont understand the worth of this stuff which makes them not want to buy it so I would say $35-$40 is a good price so that it still sells

Ive made the lazy dragon pattern(not sure if that’s the specific one you used) and I sell them for $45. Ive had a lady get more than one for that price and I recently sold one discounted at $35 at a craft fair for kids. If people want them bad enough they’ll be willing to pay your price​:blush::heart: i like using fluffy yarn for the accent color​:pink_heart: good luck with selling it!! It looks so good!!

If it was me I would probably sell it for $45 in canadian money. If you are selling it at a market you could lower the price if it is not selling.
