something like this:

and i don’t know how much to charge for it. i know i have to charge for the yarn, and labor but i’ve never done something like this and have no idea how much i should charge. i plan on having her prepay so i can buy the yarn needed. any help would be greatly appreciated :sob: :folded_hands:t2:

Wow! I’m sure she’s going to love it! I don’t have much experience in hoodies and things like that but I would say somewhere between $20-$45? Idk much about hoodies but I think that’s a reasonable price for a handmade crochet one!

That is a pretty big project with lots of yarn, plus youā€ve never done anything like it. I would suggest $50 and up

I’d say from 20-30 sounds fair it depends on how long it takes and how much they are willing to spend

1- that looks like a lot of time

2- that looks like a good amount of yarn

I’d probably do around $40-75

Do you have a pattern you are following? It may tell you what kind of yarn and how much is needed. That would be helpful. Also, bulkier yarn goes faster, so it might not take as long as you’d think. I think I would like to make one also. Cute.

i’m prob gonna follow the pattern the pic is showing, also it depends on what kind of texture my customer wants. i let her have that freedom

From what I could find it’s a medium weight yarn, not bulky. Have fun.

It depends on how much hourly you want to get paid so if you are wanting 10 dollars and hour and it takes you 3 hours to make then make it 30 dollars!!!

but since it’s prepaid i won’t be able to do that…

idk yet, i’m waiting for her to respond

Cost of materials x3 :woman_shrugging: easiest formula to use for prepaid items and it gives a little extra for profit. Just eyeballing it i’d say 30-50?
