PSA for new/young users (Please Don’t Change Space)

Hey guys! I have a little reminder for internet kindness! Lately, a lot of people I know have been leaving because of the attitude displayed by some of the newer users. It’s starting to get a bit annoying with the actions displayed by these younger users. I’m not saying that all new or young users are hateful, but a good percentage are. Remember that these are still real people behind these profiles. These newer users act like they can treat people any way and it’s fine. It seems to especially be kids underage for this app. Remember the age for this is 13+ unless you’ve had a parent sign a contract. thats true! even if these new people joining are underage they still need to be showing respect because i do think that up until now they have been taught how to behave T^T

Thank you for posting this! I’ve been seeing a lot of flagged posts lately, or people taking sides in arguments and not even trying to be civil about it. I am definitely on the younger side of those in this app, but I try to treat this as if you were actually haveing a conversation in real life.

very true!!! ik mango also posted one but it was flagged or smth sooo… yh idk :sweat_smile: i think a lot of newer users r kinda cold and lack the warmth that shapes ribblr and a lot of the kind people that i was met with when i joined have left bc of it :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob: dw guys i’m not leaving any time soon!! idk if that’s a good thing or a bad thing :sweat_smile::grimacing::sweat_smile::grimacing:

i know that a lot of it is attention seeking, and ribblr is not a place for that kind of thing. i also know that people are trying to keep those people in check and are getting flagged? (thats my understanding of it, lmk if im wrong)

I definitely agree! One way to think about it is if your post was featured on the front page of a newspaper, would you be happy or embarrassed about it? Think before you post!
