Questions that nobody needs to answer

So, I wanted to buy Ribblr yarn, but shipping to my place is $17 and it’s far off my budget.

So here are some questions that don’t need to be answered, because me and my dad are a little bit surprised.

  • Where is the general location of Ribblr’s current warehouse? I know it’s not in Canada, because then shipping would be, like, $5
  • Where does Ribblr plan to put their next warehouse? I’m praying Canada, but most locations would work.
  • Would Ribblr make more choices of multicolour yarn? I have a few ideas, if yes.
  • Would Ribblr make hooks and needles eventually? It’s hard to find good hooks, and I’ve been using some really beat up hooks and need new ones.
  • Would Ribblr make multicolour yarn in other textures than acrylic?

Again, no one needs to answer these if they’re not comfortable.

I think right now since they just started they are just trying to work with what they have. I think over time they will try expanding their products and try to lower the costs.

I think it’s because of the tariff war, actually. I’ve purchased from American warehouses before and it wasn’t as bad.

Ribblr, no rush but I feel that we really need some good yarn warehouses down under :australia::koala:

Ribblr did say they are considering having a warehouse in Canada in the future

It’s currently shipped from the US to us in Canada. I believe it ships from Minnesota , if I’m correct.

I just got my first order today, and the shipping is nowhere near as expensive as the duty. Of course if it could ship from Canada that would eliminate any duty charges.

I think the next warehouse is going to be Europe though.

If you need quality hooks, I highly recommend getting Clover Amour hooks.

If you can, I recommend getting them as a set because it will work out cheaper than buying them individually. However, if that’s not financially viable for you, I would recommend buying just the sizes you use the most, then just buy one as you need them for specific projects.

I think once you try these hooks you’ll never use anything else (except maybe Ribblr hooks if and when they’re released).

Here’s a recent post from Ribblr giving some details regarding shipping, warehouses etc.
