I will be very honest, I don’t know how to start this topic, so I am apologizing if this sounds different to how I usually write posts. I have been going through a really rough patch in my life lately, and many others in my life are too. We are human, everyone goes through it sometimes. I have had many mental health issues throughout my life, and I sometimes don’t take the time to appreciate the good things in my life.
To keep this relatively short, what are some random acts of kindness that you have done for others or others have done for you? For me, today a girl who I have never spoken to in my life, offered me a hairbrush in the bathroom while I was desperately trying to fix my hair. She even offered to help me with the back. I had nothing to offer her in return, but she didn’t mind. This made my day.
We all need to take time to appreciate the good in our lives, especially when life is hard. It can go a long way.
One time I had just left the grocery store and while stopped at a red light I saw a man on a parking lot asking for help to feed his family. He had a wife and two small children. I went back to the grocery store and bought staple food, beans, rice, sugar, milk, orange juice a package of ready baked cookies and two small toys for the kids boy/girl. It looked as though they lived out of their van. I gave him a small amount of money for gas as well. I didn’t spend a lot (back in the 80’s).
On my flight from Florida to New York, I made good friends with a couple who were on the plane with their son and in utero daughter. I have them s glasses lens wipe so they could clean their hands
