Recommendations needed!

I’ve just been accepted as a vendor at an event local to me. It’s my first time ever doing any event/market. It’s Valentine’s day themed and being held a garden center.
So I could use 2 different types of recommendations. I know it’s asked a million times but what would you recommend to some doing their first market? Any wisdom from having done your own markets/events?
Also link me some good Valentine’s day or plant themed crochet patterns!
Thank you guys!

  • Clear view of prices
  • Try not to stack your products so they don’t look like a pile
  • Mystery Bags/ Boxes are easily homemade and make lots of sales
  • Lots of $5-8 products for more quick sales
  • Try to smile and feel welcoming!!

For prices, I bought these 4x4 little chalk boards to write prices and thought I’d individually tag each item as well. Do you think that would be okay? Or should I stick to one or the other?

I’d say both are good especially if you’ll be changing up whats in your inventory every once in a while!!

I probably will because I don’t do bulk items except for some of the smaller stuff. So all my medium-large plushies are only in ones or twos

One of my favorite easy solutions was new clothespins. I wrote the price on it and clipped it to the item. Worked great.

I have a whole post on this!

Definitely price things individually as well. People don’t like to ask for prices, and it just makes things more clear!

Scrunchies, they work up fast and they sell

For you, do the scrunchies seem stiff? I’ve tried with acrylic and it didn’t stretch much. Should I use chenille or something?

Thank you! Going to it now

I do use chenille or something fluffy, acrylic is more if you want it to be a flower for structure purposes

I recommend velvet yarn for scrunchies!

Ohhh ok well that’s my problem then :joy: good to know

Awesome! I have some velvet yarn!
