here is a tip if you are reading or on your phone have a dim sort of a gold light as your reading light it will help you fall asleep better, try to set a timer on your phone where at like 10:00 you will put your phone down(usually away from your bed so it’s not tempting(if it does get tempting set it in your bathroom)), do your skincare routine before bed, try to get off your phone starting 30min before you go to bed/when your parents tell you to go to bed.

I don’t really have any tips other than make sure you are going to sleep at the same time every night, and waking up at the same time. If you are getting to bed at 9:00 one night, and 12:00 the next, you are going to be so tired so make sure you have a consistent sleep schedule

I’ve been through rlly bad depression before, to the point where I slept till 10 and just doomscolled on my phone all day and only ate junk food so I totally get you!
From my experience, it feels like forcing yourself until you kinda get into the swing of things.
I would recommend trying to get up early (maybe start waking up an hour earlier than you usually do and every week set it back an hour until you get to the time you want to get up at) and once you get up, eat a good breakfast!
As someone who hates breakfast food, sometimes I just eat something like cold pizza, but it’s important to fuel your body!
I’m not sure if you go to school or not, but if you do, I’d recommend listening to something motivational on the way there, and if you’re a Christian, I would definitely recommend reading the Bible early in the morning.
Ik this is also kinda hard to do, but the human body should have consumed at least 8 cups a day of WATER to stay hydrated, which I have found hard to do, but maybe if you can carry around a water bottle that holds maybe 2-3 cups and refill it a couple times during the day that would help.
I would also recommend to start eating more fruits and vegetables, I will say for me fruits are easier (smoothies, just to snack on, etc.) but maybe try adding veggies to your food or even eating salads.
Also, if you’re feeling rlly depressed, it might be bc you listen to sad songs, ik I love sad songs but once I switched my playlist my mind got more peaceful.
If you would like suggestions for new refreshing hobbies to try, lmk, and the last thing I’d recommend is trying to get to sleep earlier, especially if ur trying to wake up earlier.
I used to be a 3 am doomscroller but now that I wake up at 6 am I can just fall asleep without the phone.
Hope this helps, and you’ve got this, girl! <3

There’s really no secret to it, it’s actually all about self discipline! I struggle with that so much, but you just have to force yourself to do what you need to do.
It only takes 3-5 days and you’ll get used to it!!

Heyy,

I’m a late sleeper aswell, but really all I do is try to change my routine and after a few days of doing it, it becomes normal. For example, try going to bed at 12 instead of 12:30, don’t straight away go from 12:30 to 11 cause then you won’t be able to fall asleep haha. Set boundaries for yourself and it becomes easier

There’s an app called Finch that MIGHT help but other than that the only reason I can get up at like 6 is bc my school starts at 7:45!!

I know this post was 11 days ago, so you probably arent expecting ANOTHER answer but…

Its really. Truly. Very. Normal. To sleep in that late. Growing bodies scientifically need more sleep. Thats just facts, so dont beat yourself up about it. But i do have a tip as someone who struggles getting being able to sleep that ive collected over a while.

Set multiple alarms. Im talking. 5 or 6 alaarms in the most annoying sound possible. Yes it sucks to wake up to them. Yes its annoying, but if you have to get up then it works. Especially if theyre extremely loud.

As for taking care of yourself in general, i suggest ‘toddlerifying’ your routines. meaning: For every self care task that feels like a burden (hygiene, cleaning, etc etc) give your self a reward after you complete the task and take on a ‘if i do this thing i get that reward’ mentality. This works if youre always chasing dopamine like me. This is just what works for me so it might not work for you but worth a shot right?

Also an important note, ‘basic self care tasks’ can feel a lot like a lot like a burden, i struggle with it too, but NEVER feel embarressed or less then for not being able to perform things that others can do ‘easily’. We all have our own struggles and you are whole as you are. This struggle does not define your value.

Focus on personalizing your self care. A hot bath and reading can be a burden for some people, so find things that make YOU feel refreshed and recharge you. If you need to make a fan edit no one is ever going to see to feel better DO ITTT PLEASE!!

Give your body leniency, we always forget the important job its doing 24/7: KEEPING US ALIVE!!
