Selling on Etsy

Hey!
I was just wondering if anybody has experience (good or bad) selling their crochet/ other crafts on etsy. Like a lot of people I am thinking of opening a small crochet business to earn a bit more cash. I know that there are selling fees and an initial payment to open an account, but are there any other hidden costs, and are there any warnings you would give me.
Thanks!!!

The first things you should know are registration:

So like they ask for REALLY important stuff (which is why I didn’t registrate)

They ask for your name, address, all that type of stuff and you full SSN so be warned about that.

So yeah there are listing fees and stuff, also etsy takes a certain amount from each sale.

They also have this off site add thing. Basically they advertise you stuff on different websites and if someone clicks on it and buys from it, you have to pay 20% as commission.

Yeah I did a buncha research but it might be worth it.

Here’s some tips that I think would be nice when selling patterns or physical items.

GOOD QUALITY PHOTOS, this is like good lighting and I love to add tiny doodles

It’s nice to have a variety of photos

and yeah

(also have a good price)

Thank you so much! I think I will look into it a bit more and hopefully find out what my plan is!
