Hey guys! So I decided to finally start a book I’ve been thinking of making and the main character is blind and I need a good name for a golden retriever service dog!
EDIT: I have one name in mind that I need a second opinion on. I was thinking Barley!

When naming a real service dog you need quick, easy names and names that don’t sound like easy commands
Sunny would be so cute! Also maybe Jake! My friends mom has a service dog and it’s name is Jake and he is the sweetest thing ever!
Make the dog’s name a funny story with the mc. It will stick in people’s minds and add a humor to the book while not distracting from the initial theme too much. Plus it will add backstory
I think your idea of Barley would be great! My golden’s name is Dyson after the vacuum cleaner lol. Had a previous golden named Kona from a Hawaiian resort we stayed at in the past

I have always loved the name crystal and shiver for dogs and anything crystal related like amber, sapphire opal things like that I thing amber would be great for a golden
