Shop Takedown Coming Oct 1

I’m so sad to hear this, and Ribblr is definitely losing such an amazing artist. :(

But I completely understand how you feel. Your tester chats really were the only thing that kept me super active on ribblr honestly. You and the people who regularly tested for you are so welcoming and helpful, and I really am grateful to have gotten to learn so much.

I’m definitely going to follow on Instagram! Just know that you have a lifelong customer and tester if needed, and I can’t wait to see what you do next! :)

Good luck with your patterns! :yellow_heart: I’m so sad that you’re leaving, but it is so unfair that your patterns were flagged. It feels like some people just want to get a prize for flagging patterns and posts. Your designs are amazing, but I don’t have discord or insta, so I can’t continue to follow them. Could you DM me your website when it opens?

You’ve been with me from the beginning! Ground zero. My first pattern ever made. I loved having you in every single one of them! Thank you for coming back so many times and helping designing feel less scary. You’re a huge contributing factor to why I’ve come this far.

My website is listed in my shop bio. It’s pretty easy since it’s a personal domain name and is my shop name  I’m blessed to have a software engineer as a husband and he’s creating it. Takes a little more work than just opening up a pre-made site that I can just start throwing pictures onto, but it feels authentic and worth it for me that it takes a little extra time and a lot of extra love.

It’s just themissedstitch.com :yarn: :pink_heart:

Hopefully I’ll have a little more on there very soon! At the very least my about me and the plans going forward. :crossed_fingers:

So I have been sitting here working on a freehand tote for my mom’s birthday, and it got me thinking…

Before I take my shop down on October 1st (see Shop Takedown Coming Oct 1 ) I’d like to have a little fun and leave someone (or maybe a couple someone’s) with a parting gift.

I would love to see pictures of your own 100% freehand designs! No pattern following (some inspiration is fine as long as you didn’t utilize a pattern at all). It doesn’t matter what it is. Could be amigurumi, a blanket, tapestry, a purse, cross-stitch, knit, a clothing item… Whatever you felt inspired to freehand. You can even post multiple items you’ve done. I just want to see the creative side of Ribblr!

I’ll choose my personal favorite and gift that person (or maybe again more than one person if there are designs I can’t choose between) a pattern from my shop before or on October 1st.

Tag all your friends (if they’re alright with that) so they have a chance to participate as well, or at least also enjoy seeing how creative everyone can be! Also, be sure to like the posts of your fellow fiber artists whose designs you like so they can feel the love! :sparkles: :sparkling_heart: :sparkles:

I’m sorry you have to take your shop down because I love your patterns! I’d love to join the final giveaway! I’m a huge freehander, and I’ve created alot of patterns so I’ll pick a few! Here they are! I’m also making a granny square blanket freehand!

I’d love to apply, but I’ve only just started freehanding.

These are the best ones though (all of the patterns in my shop lol):

And the ridiculousness continues!! At this point it’s just laughable and every new absurd thing that happens just solidifies my decision to leave and tells me I made the right one.

For those that may now be confused, apparently Ribblr decided to merge my two topics, which should remain separate since one is a whole ‘contest’ of sorts on its own, and only referenced my leaving Ribblr post so people weren’t confused or asking questions about what was going on in the giveaway post. That post was meant to stay lighthearted, the other is heavier and explanatory.

Not only that, but apparently they’re also trying to make my post less visible since they tagged it as a personal spaces post instead of General, which we all know a lot of people have muted.

My post was exactly where it should have been, and there wasn’t a reason to move it, aside from trying to bury it.

I am doing everything I can to avoid making a flippant comment right now, and a well-deserved one. I’ll just say I definitely chose right, and while I’ll miss some of you incredible people, I won’t miss this space or supporting it in any financial way.

I’m so sorry that you have to take your shop down! Your patterns are so good!

These are some of the free-hands I have (these are patterns from my shop)

(I kinda free-handed the stingray since I free-handed the mouth pouch and connection)

That’s so sad.
It shouldnt be like that!
I’m not sure why ribblr would do such a thing!

I love your idea, and it’s so fun to see everyone’s creations!:two_hearts: By far my favorite freehand project was this quilt-inspired prayer shawl I made. I had an idea in mind and just took a chance and went for it without really measuring or planning out the number of rows, and the math mathed all by itself!

I’m not much for freehanding, and this is the only halfway decent one I’ve done. But not yet finished  maybe one day ill get it done and released as a pattern. Its a pop up flower doll! (Or supposed to be, one day :joy:)

Oh no, I’m so sorry that this is happening to you. It truly stinks. I was wary of AI before I started selling patterns and even now I’m cautious. I hope things work out for you.

I recently finished this free handed flower lamp shade. It turned out pretty cute and I don’t often freehand things.
