Should i crochet a sweater/cardigan/vest?

HIIIIIII! As (almost) everyone knows, it’s winterrrrrrrrr!!! It’s getting nice and cool where i live and i will be going somewhere chilly :cold_face: soon. Most of the “outerwears” that i have are like hoodies. I want smth like maybe a lightweight cardi or a vest or even a sweater. Should i crochet one? If i do, then what should i crochet? A sweater or a cardigan or a vest?? If you have any suggestions, then please comment below and it would be really helpful if you also leave a link to a free pattern below. TYSMMMMM!!!
Disclaimer: i have NEVER EVER crocheted clothing b4, only a beanie for my grandma.

a sweater may be a good start, so you should probably try and make one of those :3

it really does depend. it should say on most patterns, but you can try and look it up and see how many skeins it would take to make a sweater. ive never made a sweater before, so i wouldnt know haha!

Oo you should definitely make one! I’d love to see it when your done!
I’ve only made 1 peice of clothing , so I don’t know much about it, other than it will take a while to make :rofl:
and like Maple said, ribblr has a lot of sweater/cardigan patterns!

I’m not sure, possibly 800-1000 yards, but again I’m not sure. so I’d check the pattern you are using. maybe @Elaya could help, she just made a super cute sweater!!
