Hey guys! Over the years, I have accumulated a large amount of specialty shawl-type yarns from thrifting. As someone who does not crochet shawls or scarves, I need some help with coming up with projects I can make with these. Of you have an idea for a specific one, feel free to describe it for me! Most of these are very beautiful, I just don’t know what to use them for. Thanks in advance! Here they are. ![]()
I’d love to see you make llamas out of the more fluffy/textured ones!
Wait thas such a cute idea
I think it’d be sooooo cute
I’ll use your pattern hehe ![]()
They all look like some soft, cozy yarn! Some of your bigger cakes could make some cozy beanies. I am a big fan of the cat ear shaped ones since they balance out my big round head
And they are quick to make. Also, the stripped color yarns would be cute for octopus or snakes plushies.
Hehe can’t wait to see it!
Maybe like a crazy cardigan? With different granny squares in each yarn type!!!
That is such a good idea! And you could make the llama blankets using the brighter colors if you wanted
Maybe a scrap sweater or a blanket or beanies? And for amigurumi maybe snails or smth like that!
Maybe a granny square afghan or a top?
You could try to make some cute granny squares to make a blanket or something like that. I don’t do things with specialty yarn a lot because I get distracted, but I think it helps to have a little puzzle piece!
Blankets patterns with flowers! Make the flowers different colors from the leftover yarn. Here’s an example of a baby blanket I made. I’ve done this several times with leftover yarn and always get so many complements.
And if your leftover yarn is from other gifts for the same family, all the better! For example, I gave a baby blanket similar to the one in the picture and the leftover yarn for the flowers was from baby blankets for an older sister and cousin of the baby.
Side note, I also make cute hippo outfits with the leftovers ![]()
You could do mittens or a hat! Or some other small wearable. Otherwise, different textures bags with the different textures of yarn would be cool!
