Hey guys! This weekend I decided to pick up knitting! I actually used to knit a bit (before crochet!) but I never really made any projects. I made some swatches and tried out different stitches!
Those look great considering i barley know how to knit! i only know 1 stitch
Good thing you only need to know two 
The rest of them are made by alternating the two basic stitches. For example rib stitch is knit one pearl one
So you’re halfway there!!!

Those look so good! I should do another knit project, my first knitting project (I did it about 6 months ago) was one of those viral knit frogs! Needless to say…… that wasn’t the best first project ! But it did mean I learned lots of techniques and stitches though!
I crochet but I’ll give knitting a try this year. Looks like you did great to me.

I found a pretty followable sweater pattern for beginners which made me soo happy!! (I couldn’t find something cute and easy to understand for so long-)

And she has a written pdf version (I’d suggest having it pulled up and follow along with it and the video so maybe you get a bit more comfortable with the written patterns if you don’t understand it well)
I’ve not gotten very far and I’m taking my sweet time with it because other than just a bunch of square swatches, this is going to be the first thing I really knit Dx
I made a mistake and so I had to go back a bit
(I’ve learned how to pick up stitches after frogging, but definitely put in a safety line first!!! It’s wayy nicer (I will probably put in safety lines as a knit so if I make another mistake it won’t be so tricky frogging and fixing it TvT)
I’m making it in all white first so I know that I can make it and I’ve got the right size and them I’m hoping to make it blue with white stripes :3
Ive got the collar ribbing done and I’m trying to do german short rows for the neckline, it’s not too complicated, but it’s still tricky rip-
I knit continental style, it’s almost like crocheting except you don’t have a hook at the end tbh
