I had to reread this post a few times ro make sure this was real, this is fluffing horrible. I seriously can’t believe that someone could think using AI is a good ideas after ALL of this and the hundreds of times it has proven itself to be the worst ever thing to be made by humanity.
I’ve seen many people do like an anti-AI trend as ‘stealing ideas from AI and make crafts’ and while I don’t want to judge anyone who did this as it sounds super fun and a great idea, it’s not even possible ssinle to steal from AI because it has already stolen it all from the crafters
But ehmmm, sorry for the long text… I don’t have insta or TikTok and won’t ve able to use the sound, bit is it possible to use the hashtag (as title) in pinterest? For those who don’t have insta or TikTok :)
What jerks. I don’t understand the motive of stealing something that isn’t yours and slapping your logo on it. I’m appalled that people are terrible enough to do that. This must be so hard for the ribblr team. We wish you luck in fighting this other platform- you deserve all the support you can get
Your all right. This is devastating . We need to find a way thay defines our real patterns from Ai patterns. There must be a way to stop this, and we need to stop it now.
AI ripping off patterns is horrible and an on going problem that’s disgusting but what I think Lir saying in this post is someone is ripping off Ribblr’s CODE and are or have made a copycat platform. If I’m reading it right and if that is what’s happening, I’m am truly sorry Lir. You and your team have created something truly beautiful through years of hard work and perseverance. For me, Ribblr isn’t just a place to get my patterns it’s a unique community of kind caring individuals that have come together to create a community and I for one want to thank you for that.
Crafting means everything to me and I will do whatever I can to protect it.
We’re continuing to push forward - we have so many wonderful features still to roll out this year and of course our Ribblr Yarn. Despite these tough situations, I am even more excited and committed to the future of Ribblr
Recently I reported a whole Etsy shop for copying pattern pics and photoshopping Ribblr pics into other places. Some of these include @Citraandizzy@craftycellist who I was close to DM if it wasn’t sorted, luckily it was. One of the copied ones was actually getting lots of sales, I think it was a crochet by Genna turtle. If you notice smth looking familiar your best bet is not to buy it!
