Tell me your crochet horror stories! Whether it be somebody trying to sabotage you at your market, your hook snapping on you, you finding some spooky things in the middle of your yarnβπ«¨
My spooky story is when I was working on a certain project, I had to use a 2.5 mm hook, and i was about halfway through the project and i stopped crocheting and notice my hook was literally bending like a curve!!! I was a little suspicious about if I should continue working on it, but i continued, and then my hook literally snapped on me! I donβt have it anymore since it was broken. i did finish the project tho!
mineβs from when i had just started, like a month into crocheting and i was using soms plastic tapestry needles to sew closed my second ever project, a dinosaur. now, i tend to stuff things pretty densely. so densely in fact, that my needle was completely curved when i was done sewing. i now stick to metal needle (which still has a very slight curve )
i was crocheting and walked away from my atuff for a moment, my friends brother had gotten ahold of my crochet hook and in the process of getting it back he punched me in the face <3
dunno if that counts but here we are!
Every time I sew holes closed with chenille the yarn snaps, most of the time I end up doing it with similar color acrylic! Thatβs not really a horror story though
That is definitely a crochet horror story!
One time I was looking through my yarn and a found a group silverfish just hiding in the yarn! (This was today by the wayβ¦)
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH WHAT THE FART!!! THATS SCARY!!! (cs)
my hooks break all the time, but my worst βscaryβ story was me reaching into my bag of yarn, pulling out my new ball of yarn and a massive dead crusty ant was inside
OH MA GAWD THATS SCARY!!! (cs)
I had to be in the emergency room some years back and overheard some of the staff saying that they had to remove a crochet hook from someoneβs behind because they had sat on it. It had been a steel crochet hook (used with thread to make doilies and such) and had gone deep into the flesh of the patientβs butt. So keep track of where your hook is before you sit down
Omg! Are they okay? I may be guilty of this as well. I never track where my hook is when im sitting at the couch.
HOLY, that is terrifying
