tester info tools/setting

so, as designer I come across TONS of people and unfortunately, I get a bit of people who get blocked or removed, and thankfully a TON who are amazing and get the karma and complete :)
but I’m wondering if there’s a way we can have a spot in the shop manager where we have a personal “tester info” area. where only we can see so we can use it for future testers

so, my idea which idk if it would work but when you “gift pattern” to a tester a little pop up will come up and can have a short description box where we can add a brief detail/note on how they did for that test. and on the list that will be in the shop manager it will have a thumbs up or a red heart to show it was a positive personal “review”

and if i have to “remove” or “Block” it does the same thing! and for the remove it would be a yellow heart and the blocked would be a black or broken heart (honestly any emojis would work so long as it’s easy to see what each mean at glance)

but the whole point of this is that I can go back and look on testers that have helped me, and I can see why I liked them and or if someone what blocked or removed and I can’t remember why! lol I usually try to write my own info into a notebook but it often gets misplaced so it would be earlier if this was a cook feature for ribblr even if it was part of the ribblr + perks.

I really hope this makes sense.

YESSS sometimes I see testers with like 300 karma but only half complete and I wanna accept them but I’m worried they r gonna abort or smth this would be so helpful!!!

I wil say I mean the “reveiw* notes would be private. So no one would see what you wrote. a tester review page would be cool but I can see it causing drama.. I just want the ability to see why I personally liked or disliked someone from the past. I have 30+ patterns so going through them all trying to find what one they tested then to find the group chat for that pattern just to possibly figure out why I blocked or removed them is a long and annoying process so having a “tester notes” area would be cool to have to just be able to search their names in the list and the note so leave for each testing pops up

I think it would be really helpful if we could have a way to show each tester you’ve accepted, blocked, aborted, rejected, and removed in a list that can be filtered. I have a lot of patterns so it is really hard to remember everyone who has tested before and to go through each pattern individually. It would also be cool if we could write a reason for rejection, removal, and blocking that is private so we can keep track. This could be great, but i think it should probably be just for you personally. They might have not been doing well in their life, and i dont think they should be punished for that. I do think this could work great if its just a little note for yourself tho!

I think this makes a lot of sense. Similar to how Amazon has shop reviews so you know which shops are reliable, just a private review. I know a lot of designers have been looking for ‘permanent’ testers they can call on first and look for extras as needed so they have a reliable pool.
While I like the karma points idea, some people are newer to testing so it can be harder to get picked

Exactly why I think it should just be a thing in the shop manager. Not needed for anyone but your self. That’s why I think it would be a perfect Ribblr + feature. just a little add on area we can use !!

I personally go off makes not karma for this reason that’s why on my calls I ask for a photo of their makes in the yarn they are applying for :)

I completely agree! Cause sometimes people aren’t reliable and this would be a perfect way to tell!

I think that works a lot better. I’ve tested 5 patterns on here in the last week and a half (several others previously) and still have only 10 karma. No complaints, but I just think it’s not necessarily accurate but having a little designer comment/review section would be handy for you guys. I know some people interact more in the chats or ghost and that sort of thing

It should be a feature for all designers, not just plus members. There are designers who either are not able to have stripe or just can’t afford the extra monthly charge. They shouldn’t be excluded.

Yes! I have had accepted testers with larger amount of karma only to be strung along and they abandon the test. Which wasn’t great especially with 4 days left on my test. Thankfully I was able to get a new tester but it messed with my launch date.

This would help navigate that easier so I don’t choose them again.

It would also be nice to be able to see a list of tests someone has completed for you (or not) without having to open all your individual lists of testers to check.
