It comes with a heavy heart to learn that Charlise from @Charliseyscrochetcloset has passed away. She was a designer who joined Ribblr during our early days of operation (featured as our Ribblr of the week in July 2021) and has been an impactful designer since. She was also a community member and we know her art extended beyond her reach and has touched the lives of many.
As the community mourns this loss, we have gone ahead and removed all sale fees from her shop. This means when you purchase a pattern or even leave a tip, your money (besides transaction fee by Stripe) will go directly towards their family and support system during this difficult time. Art is forever and Charlise has left her legacy and impact through her creative energy. We are honored to still witness her amazing work.

Charlise began her crochet journey around the same time Ribblr launched, and quickly blossomed into a successful designer. It’s been an absolute honor to support her throughout her journey — her creativity, resilience, and spirit continue to inspire me.

I’m so sorry about this tragic loss. I send my condolences to her family. I know it’s not the same by any means, losing a person is much harder, but I lost my cat recently, and the things that helped me most were allowing myself to grieve in my own way and make something yourself to commemorate them. I painted my cat, so maybe you could paint Charlise or make something that has to do with her interests?
Once again, I am so so sorry for your loss, we will all miss her and what she contributed to Ribblr, and you will miss what she contributed to your lives. I’m not religious, but if you are, I know she will be happy wherever she goes! Charlise will never truly be gone, she is forever in your hearts and in your memories with her, the good and the bad.
