A few years ago I used to share a weekly topic spreading positivity and gratitude and I would love to come back to it, maybe not as a weekly thing but at least occasionally.
One thing about me that some of you may (or may not) know is I am super passionate about people and their stories. I think we are all so unique - we have our own stories to tell, and our own journeys to go through but I’ve learned that expressing gratitude is so important.
In fact, it is thanks to Ribblr that I learnt the importance of being proud of yourself and your work. I used to be so focused on the next big goal, that I never stopped to be proud of my own achievements. Almost as if it’s forbidden to be proud, if that makes sense to you?
Anyway I would love to hear - what is one thing in your life you are so grateful for or proud of?
I am greatful for my bestie. Although we have lived in different states for years now, she has shown me long distance friendships can still work and be beautiful.
that is so fantastic. I can’t say I’ve managed to do the same with some of my good friends, but I do try. This is honestly a very hard thing to do!
I’m so incredibly grateful for the (not so) little team of medical professionals I’ve curated for myself here. After being gaslit for my entire life about my autoimmune and chronic illnesses (amongst other health issues), I finally have a team who not only has found some of the root issues but also believes me.
While it’s crushing to know that there’s something wrong with you, it’s simultaneously immensely relieving knowing that there is something actually wrong with you, there are ways to help mitigate symptoms, and that it wasn’t just “all in your head”.
When I’m having a tougher day than normal, or even when I’m in the midst of a flare, I find myself thinking about how grateful I am to be able to finally put a name to what I’m going through and how lucky I am to have doctors who have my back. Unfortunately, that’s not always the norm.
Im grateful for myself, ik that sounds like kinda self sbsorbed, but i just mean im grateful i have the ability to persist in tough times and i have the ambition to continue when im frustrated.
It might sound weird, but I’m grateful for the hardships in my life. While they are annoying and hard when going through them, they’re very good learning experiences. I never would be who I am now if not for all the challenges I’ve faced.
