What's happening with my food buddy patterns?

I’m very sorry that happened :sob:
I’m not trying to be cruel at all to the person that said that to you, but there are SO many people who use those legs/arm chains, and it is completely fine.
I think I have found the ā€˜original’ pattern, and I do see the similarities, but not to the point where I would think you were copying them. Personally, the route that the other creator went was a little harsh in my opinion. I don’t think you should have to take down your pattern, that I bet you spent lots of time and sweat on, only because of little similarities between two patterns.
I’m not at all trying to bring hate towards the other creator, im simply just disagreeing.
I hope you can get this all figured out soon.

I’m sorry this happened to you. Take this as a lesson learned to constantly check when you have an idea.

I know what you are feeling right now… about 5 yrs ago I had something like this happen to me… I had to actually fight in an international court! For 35 yrs, I had the company name of ā€œWaja Creationsā€ – Waja means wolf in Cherokee…
These guys in Australia took my company name and did a concrete planter business with it… I had all the proof showing it was mine, copyrighted and licenced…but because they made more money then i did at the time, they where allowed to keep the name and I had to stop using it… heck they didn’t even know how to pronounce Waja (w awe ya) the j has a y sound… but something I lovingly built was snapped away since they made more money with it… so now my business name is Raven Thunderwings Creative Arts…and since Raven is my Pagan name legally here in the USA and it is in many pagan groups world wide as my name, it would be considered identity theft if used…

I tell this story so that you guys that are just starting out and want to have a small business will learn from my mistakes… check check and triple check on everything you do that you want to put out there in the public eye…

They are just gate keeping… At that point they better not use any yarn as many of others use it in patterns as well. Can’t have her having similar yarn types as anyone else :rofl:

I’m sorry you have to deal with this , I totally agree with your point of view on the situation and I totally think it’s the right choice to set the pattern down and let this blow over before trying again.
Have a great day!

I don’t think you’re a bad person and you didn’t do anything wrong! It is simply an idea that several people have had. I think maybe the ā€˜nutty buddy’ thing could be a problem, but the other person having ā€˜breakfast buddies’ is completely fine.
If I were you I wouldn’t call them nutty buddies since that is the brand.
But everything else is good!
