What's your crochet toxic trait?

Iā€™m a miser when it comes to yarn. I frog things and always tie it back on the skein, try to use as little yarn as possible in an Mr, and NEVER leave enough yarn for sewing :sob:

Haha! I do the exact opposite!

Mine is, that I understuff nearly ALWAYS and that when I decrease, there always happen to be holes. You can see it here:

Multi step process:
Step 1: Force myself to finish a practical project thatā€™s repetitive but builds skills (like a hat).
Step 2: Wear the hat a few times, disliking it more each time for some minor detail.
Step 3: When a very, very cute amigurumi pattern must have that exact same color yarn, I will unravel just a little of the hat telling myself Iā€™ll buy more yarn soon. Instead, I carry around this half-dead zombie hat, slowly feeding yarn stitch-by-stitch to hungry amigurumis.

i have a jar full of yarn scraps that i swear iā€™m gonna use, but always end up using stuffing instead :sob:

I will adapt every single pattern to look completely divergent (except if Iā€™m testing)

i overstuff
i canā€™t do a good mr for the life of me
i crochet far too tight
in the middle of a pattern iā€™ll think ā€œoh you know whatā€™d be cool? this:ā€ and then mess it up
i make up random stitches
i start making patterns and then just stop
i have too many WIPs
i use extra yarn scraps as stuffing

Mine is that I will buy yarn and then have an existential crisis over how much yarn I have

Mine is stacking myself up with too many things to do or i do not hold the hook and yarn the correct way so whenever i crochet with anyone else its really hard to understand what theyre doing.

define ā€œtoxicā€

I crochet always. If I canā€™t crochet, I create patterns. If I canā€™t create now, I start a pattern in my shop and jot down a few notes so I remember later. I see everything (everything) as a potential crochet pattern.

i always overestimate how much yarn iā€™ll need to sew something on (i do the same thing with sewing smh) and i end up with a super long tail that i have to either weave in or cut off, or both. also my tension is quite loose, so thatā€™s why i have to use small hooks to get my amigurumi to look right XD and i hoard yarn scraps like crazyyy and either use them for stuffing, or store them at the bottom of a drawer where they will probably be for the rest of eternity :3

thatā€™s so real smh

I design and make loaads of patterns ā€¦ but hate writing them up becauseā€¦ . well I have more ideas i want to createā€¦ and when i publish patterns i get all fussy aboit the look and contents and make so much more work for myselfā€¦ but Iā€™m trying to build a pattern writing businessā€¦:see_no_evil: so i have so many part finished patterns and books of designs all written downā€¦ but have only published a handfulā€¦ current total is 60+ designs and patterns vs about 10 actually published (not included in the 60) :sob::rofl: and 5 of those are un mags ā€¦ive not even got around to publishing them myself yet even though theyā€™re already written up!

My toxic trait is making all the pieces to a project and then just never sewing it together :joy:

If I have the wrong stitch count, I just increase or decrease till i do
When I use a yarn, I donā€™t put it back into my yarn dresser, I just throw it into the big box I have on my floorā€¦

I do that too!! There is no way Im redoing it bc theres one to many stitches
