Hey y’all! I like, really wanna do a market sometime soon because I need to start sellin’ these suckers! But I lowkey dont know where or how to do that…? like, ive looked at the farmers market page and stuff but you have to apply a year early and for the whole year and show up almost every week which ain’t happening. So are there other markets? preferably in the dallas area. Or does anyone have a ‘method’ they use to find good markets?
I think it depends on the area your in for example some markets advertise the dates their open and have a deposit site where you can get more info as well as pay for a spot. But tbh it completely depends on your availability and the market themselves because it can very market to market. But I’m not completely sure because I’m doing my first market in a few days and it’s completely different from some bigger local markets.
Also did you make those patterns I love them and would love to get my hands on them
Do an internet search for markets in your location.
Check out each of their websites to see what the requirements, T’s and C’s are:
Is it an indoor/outdoor market?
Do they require you to have insurance/how much?
How many ‘visitors/customers’ do they get on average?
What is the average age of the attendees or like, is it a family market ie: parents with kids.
How long does the market go for?
If you’re a teen, you’ll probably need to get your parent to fill out the application form in their name for legal reasons (this will also be the case for the market insurance)
Do they have a cancellation policy? What if it’s an outdoor market and the weather is bad?
Size of the stall?
When do you have to pay the stall fee?
When you’ve narrowed down the market/s you like, complete the application/s and wait to hear back from them.
Its a free pattern on instagram!! (@duckycrochetcorner)and then for the hats they’re also free, and they’re by sambrosis as highlighted story on her intagram page.(@sambrosis.crochet) I didnt want to have to go search for them every time i wanted to use then so I also typed them up on a doc
