I ⓛⓞⓥⓔ the hdc because it works up fast 𝓪𝓷𝓭 it’s so pretty! (ෆ˙ᵕ˙ෆ) ๋࣭ ⭑

I love the speed and texture of the lemonpeel stitch.
DC / SC repeat, then the opposite on the next row. SC in the DC, and DC in the SC.

I agree, but I always switch some stitches. But since I do it every once in a while it straightens out again:sweat_smile::person_shrugging:

I like hdc but what I like more is the mesh stitch lol I feel like that works better if you want like those gaps or don’t mind the gaps just wanna make it quickly yk

Yes I recently made the roadside tank in cotton using this stitch and i love it. It works up fast has great texture and isn’t see through like a lot of stitches.

I want to make another tank top now thinking about it :joy:

And what stitches do you prefer for the mesh? Most I’ve seen is dc, but it techniqually it works with every stitch

No one seems to like trebles/triples, dc is first and hdc and sc are equally second. Interesting, thanks to everyone who voted so far:hugs:

To me, the larger the stitch the faster the while work will be completed
So I said the Treble.

You saved the honor of the treble stitch. If you know a Youtuber role playing crochet hooks and stitches feel free to imagine them showing a very grateful tall stitch:wink: If not just don’t think I’m crazy, with the picture in my head it completly makes sense:rofl:

It depends on what the purpose of the blanket is and which yarn you are using.

For a light throw, a hdc/dc moss stitch is perfect. This is a great choice for any yarn. Ive done goth in Bernat blanket. The hdc will be a little less spacy, the dc leaves larger spaces.

A few of my quicker makes:

This is an iris stitch iv Bernat blanket and 9 mm hook

If you want full coverage sc moss stitch works well with multiple yarn types.

Shell/fan stitch with dc also works quickly, but is a yarn hog.

This is moss in dc

Dc,c2c

This is a dc, gridlock pattern using caron macchiato cake yarn

Iris &/or V stitch uses less yarn than the shell and is a quick 1 row repeat.

Really? I seem to never be able to get into my slip stitches, no matter how loose I try to make them:see_no_evil_monkey:

So many beautiful makes, I have to look those stitches up, I yet have to try them:+1::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you. I have really enjoyed making the larger Afghans, and also learning to make all kinds of items.

Several of these I found on YouTube, a couple were in a pattern book I think it had 50 different stitches, you can adjust to your desired length/width (its at home, can provide the name when I get back from vacation)

Also, besides all the great patterns here on Ribblr including Unique patterns | crochetmelovely | Ribblr, you can find free patterns on yarnspirations.com, lionsbrandyarn.com and herrschners.com, you can also buy kits that include all you need except the hook (sign up for their emails, will get discounts and alerts for free/reduced shipping). Herrschners has a huge variety of project types, as well as types and brands of yarn, to fit most budgets.

I can’t wait for the Ribblr yarn to launch.
