I have a project for school that requires recycling so yk what that means (:

You can cut plastic bags on a spiral, starting at the bag’s bottom into 1/4” strips and crochet or knit with it. It is hard on the hands though

Im cutting them into strips and then im going to tie them together, then crochet it, so kinda similar to what you said!

I wouldn’t tie knots, they would show up in the piece and not look good. Just finish each strip near the end of a row. Use a larger hook or else it may bend and damage a thinner hook

And rest your wrists frequently, take small breaks in between

Plastic yarn is known as plarn. You can probably find a YouTube video on how best to make it and use it

I’ve only been in my house for 3 months but I have managed to fill two totes full of plastic grocery bags. I could recycle them at the store. But I think it would be more interesting to crochet with them. Definitely going to look up some videos on the best way to cut them
