Welcome to Ribblr! Congrats on your first post, here’s some helpful links that could help if you ever need them 
Also here’s the links to the testing guidelines, community guidelines, I believe some more links are mentioned in the above post like the Community Wiki, but the help center can also be helpful as well!
As for free patterns in those weights you can actually filter and sort by! Here’s some screenshots to help, I marked them (I’m using the app on my phone, but the website and other devices should be similar)
To filter by yarn weight (among others) click the icon on the top right (the left one of the two)
There you’ll see many options you can click and mess with including craft type, crafting levels, etc. but for the yarn weight click this option.
There you’ll get many options to click from choose the one(s) you’d like! You may have to scroll to view some things.
To sort by, in this case the price for free you’d click the icon on the top right (the right icon)
There they’ll be options to sort by, for free you would click this option so the price will show the lowest (free) and eventually rise when you scroll
