oop lol yeah missed that
Good news!!! Iām going to the thrift store today. Hopefully Iāll find some things.
Oh go elf and then you can make a flower chain to weave in your hair from crochet. Also works for fairy.
Iām back!! Iāll do a haul soon. No skirts, but I did find an awesome dress though, and some jewelry
Can you send a pic of what you choose
My bad! I might be able to this evening

Ren fairs are so much fun! A lot of people, merch, and food! Come dressed as your best and have fun!
I just went to my first ren fair during the summer, my advice is thrifting, thrifting, and more thrifting lol
. But for real I thrifted almost my entire outfit and it looked great! I think the only thing I bought new was a little corset belt. Make sure, if you want to go the dress/skirt way, that you have LAYERS! It might be hard if you live somewhere really hot but I think that layers really make the look. I would just have a cute plain skirt or dress for your base (mine was white) then get a main skirt this one should be flowy and also probably a plain color (mine was a autumn orange type color) then if you want you can go even further and do a 3rd layer ( I had a patchwork kind of gypsy skirt I thrifted). Next you will need a good corset belt or full corset to keep all the layers together and give you that snatched waist mideival look. next I would suggest a LONG leather belt that you can fold over to hang down, if you donāt know what I mean there are many tutorials on YouTube that you could watch. Belts are great for the ren fair because you can add all kinds of trinkets, bags, and mugs to your belt. Another detail is skirt hikes, they are soooo easy to make and really elivate your layered look. I made mine out of a pleather material. You basically put two large metal rings in between a strip of fabric and secure them. I have seen some great crocheted skirt hikes so that could be fun! Another tip is to get a nice flowy light top that will keep you cool and look fabulous! Last but not least, there are tons of accessory options, if you are going more fairy, elf, or forest maiden vibes you can make ears out of clay or wire, one thing I made was a flower crown with some thin wire, floral tape, and a selection of fake flowers. I know that was a whole lot of information but I hope it helped! I know you are going to have sooo much fun!
Thatās so helpful!! I own like zero skirts, and my thrift store had NO good ones
Iāll have to try again
I have friends that run the ren faire circuit so I picked Thier brains a bit..one friend said that if you crochet parts for your outfit, be ready for people to asked you where you got said items..keep track of these things as it can give you and avenue to vendā¦
The most common outfits are the ones you mentionedā¦a couple friends suggested to even go steampunkā¦
One suggested to think of dungeons and dragons..what would you have you character look like if you where to larp itā¦( Live action roll play for those that donāt know what larping is)
Good luck and have fun??
I do play DND with my brother, but my character would be really hard to play haha
I too have an interesting character that would take a lot to LARP!! mine is a Dragonborn Witch/rogue
talk about all the prosthetics I would need for that one! lol
Haha! Iām a homebrew character, so Iām actually a pangolin-born.
umm-- yeah ā thatās a tough one to LARP for real! lol that would be alot of scale malle for that one an youād have to be very agile to roll up as tight as the actual animal does⦠but I wouldnāt mind having you on my team!
My original character is a home brew too⦠I was playing Hero;s unlimited and the dm thought it would be a great idea to have me as a dragon that was in suspended animation like 10,000 years in the future. My ātankā was shatter by a human/cheetah hybred with the zoomies. the various things Syntar could do! lol
Woah! Thatās really cool
