The worst ive experienced was with my blanket. Was doing a border and almost ran out, but at the end I was left with quite a bit.

Omg

I absolutely hate when that happens

i was making a bag with my yarn doubled up and I ended up running out of yarn but that wasn’t even the worst part

The bag was way to small:weary_face: And I still haven’t gone to get new yarn nor have I frogged it

Once I was 3 dc short. I tore out half of the row and used a hook 1 size smaller to make it work.

I had a ball of yarn i was using which somehow got into a terrible mess that I couldn’t sort out, I asked my son to have a look at it for me. He came back with it 2 days later all neat and rolled. My son is really good at sorting yarn messes for me. thankfully. It would have been binned if it wasn’t for him

My dog thinks shes a cat. She pinches a ball of yarn when im not looking and unravels it all over my room

I tend to think I’ll need to play yarn chicken, so I’ll panic and buy more of the same skein. Then come to find out I didn’t even end up using all of the first one

I bought a skein of super chunky yarn once and didn’t realize how little yarn is in those skeins so I couldn’t finish my chunky gummy bear

At my school each month there is a group of students assigned to designing the prayer table that month. I decided to crochet baby Jesus. And the moment morning announcements started I ran out of yarn AND finished :sob::victory_hand:

Such an amazing feeling of relief when that happens

Oh no  I hope you get t finish it at some point!!

I’ve done that before  I’m glad you got it to work!

Oh no that’s the worst when it’s a tester call :sob:

Awesome :star_struck:

I used to have a dog like that too

That’s a good problem to have  Somehow it’s the opposite for me, I always think I’ll have enough but then I don’t :smiling_face_with_tear:

I know!! It looks like there is so much in them but it’s actually barely anything :sob:

Same here

Oh wow! That’s amazing!

I’m currently playing a large game of yarn chicken rn. I have a huge bundle of yarn, but the thing I’m making is a large free hand dragon… And the stitch I’m using takes up a lot of yarn. I got the yarn at Joan’s, and I got it a while ago so if I got any more (online since Joan’s is no longer. And since it’s online, I wouldn’t be able to compare it to the one I have) it wouldn’t match.

Litterally yesterday I was making a chubby dino out of a skein that was super small. I thought I would make it easily, but if I had like 20 cm (8 inch) less, I wouldn’t have had enough yarn for sewing… (this was my last skein of that dye lot)

Can someone explain why you are always crocheting twice as fast when playing yarn chicken?
