My dear grandma taught me when I was 8 years old. Miss her so much.

How did you learn to crochet or knit or any crafts you do / learnt was shown??

I taught myself 50 years ago not that my age matters. I was 6 years old when I taught myself the granny square which was also called the peggy square. I taught myself to knit when I was 10 years old. I also do or its been a white cross stitch, tapestry, Embroidery been a few years but it all counts i mainly learnt throught books as there wasn’t i internet back then. Beginning to Learn Crochet

Hello! I’m new to the community, and I want to learn to crochet! I’m struggling with certain things though, like how to hold the yarn, maintain a consistent tension, and I still get confused on the basics sometimes. I wanted to ask, how did you all learn to crochet? I feel like the best way would be if I had someone to show me in person, but I don’t know how to find that, so all I can do is learn from videos. It’s quite difficult, but I’m determined to get this right! Any advice or tips?
